The rumor was started by an analyst over at Barron’s, but Google hasn’t yet confirmed it. However, what the analyst said is thoughtful, for the Tegra 2 chipset uses the dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor. In addition, the processor supports graphical processing power you can find only on NVIDIA. All in all, the Tegra 2 is awesome, thus it makes sense that Google would use it as Honeycomb’s reference.
There are actually some other manufacturers to follow what Google is going to do such as Motorola. It is not something surprising, for the Tegra 2 is actually a real champ today. Its performance is completely great! Let’s just see later on what Google is really going to do.
