How to Turn Off Data Services in a Simple Way
Using cell phone often requires high costs. The bill people get after using it is sometimes very high. We also will get additional charges on our bill when we are travelling internationally. What you can do to minimize the money you spend for the cell phone bill when you are travelling internationally is by minimizing service fees and turning your phone off for flight operations. You can also turn off your data services. It is such a simple thing. By doing this you still have chance to access to your phone and text messaging services. These are some steps you can take in order to turn your data services:
1. If you are the user of OS 4.7 (Storm 9530) and earlier, you can click the Manage Connections icon and select Mobile Network Options. After selecting, press Menu > Save.
2. For you who are the user of OS 5 & OS 6, you can click the Manage Connections icon. After that clicking Turn All Connections Off to disable all radio communications.
3. If you want to stop the data service only and leave the phone enable, you can click stop the Mobile Network Options in the Manage Connections menu.
