BlackBerry is one of the smartphones that is capable of running Skype, particularly for certain types that work on Verizon network in the US. However, for those of you who live outside the US, in other countries like in Germany, it’s really sorry to say that Skype couldn’t be run in your country. Skype hasn’t made a kind of Skype app that work on any providers, which is the most disappointing point the company made.

The main problem of the missing Skype app might possibly come from the Operating System of our BlackBerry phones. Skype doesn’t launch a chat client, while the BB OS, on the other hand, is not capable of running a chat client. There are ICQ, WhatsApp, AIM, Yahoo, MSN, Google Talk, Facebook chat client, but is no Skype Messenger. Hopefully, this year all BlackBerry owners get the enlightenment. Skype is one of important chatting clients used widely today. It would be a great loss that sophisticated device like the BlackBerry couldn’t support it.
