HBH-PV740 Bluetooth Headset
Sony Ericsson came with a new Bluetooth Headset, replacing the old HBH-PV715 with a better look on the headset, small monochrome, chrome edging, silver buttons and even includes stylish desktop charging stand. The HBH-PV740 has a brushed metal finish on the front, but it’s very light and almost unseen.
This Bluetooth Headset does not have ear hook like other devices, instead, it has the ear-bud design that’s still comfortable but firm on your ears when worn. But the security is rather doubtful because of its size. Nevertheless, it’s still advantageous, since it can be worn on either side of your ears.
HBH-PV740 has a small monochrome screen that shows the battery life and the indicator if it’s in pairing mode. Not really outstanding because it doesn’t have backlight. But it’s still useful if you want to check the battery life. The headset also has only three buttons. One in the back for power button, call-handling button on the front and the side for volume controls. Just turn on the power and it will automatically bring you into pairing mode.
Even though the design seems so sleek and stylish, but the call quality is not very satisfying. Outgoing audio sounds clear and good, but with the increased price into $70, the incoming audio isn’t very clear and tend to fluctuate. The Ericsson said that it’s due to the ability of volume adjustment.
Some features included too are activate the voice dialling and allow users to redial the last called number, transfer the sound from headset to user’s phone, all these are supported in the package as well as the gloss desktop charging stand.
