Google Nexus One Firmware Update: Android Froyo 2.2.1

Google Nexus One user should be excited about this firmware, it will make your phone running faster and stable. You can upgrade your firmware via OTA but if not, you can download and install the firmware manually. From the information we had, this upgrade meant for Stock Nexus One phones and should not be applied on rooted handset.

To update your Google Nexus One to Android 2.2.1 Froyo you can follow the steps below:

1. Download the Android 2.2.1 firmware here
2. Connect your phone to your computer, copy the file you have download in the first step to the microSD card
3. TUrn off your phone
4. Press the “Volume-down” button together with “Power button” until your phone reboot into recovery mode
5.Once the Android on skate screen is appear, scroll down to recovery and press power button.
6. Now you will see the triangle with an exclamation point symbol, press the “Power” and “Volume Up” buttons at the same time.
7. From the menu that appears, select “Apply sdcard:update.zip.”
8. Wait unti the screen displays “Install from sdcard complete”, then you select “reboot system now” and wait for the phone to power back up.

If you sucessfully change your firmware, radio version will change from FRF91 to FRG83.
