Skype Viber Coming to Android!

Most of you may be a pretty big fan of Viber, started when Viber launched it for the iPhone last month. It is interesting to make use of the 100% free VoIP calls over 3G and WiFi, isn’t it? This is what people already understand as a small handful of venturing to try to beat the giant Skype, showing us a good thing is a good competition from a point of consumer’s view.

Viber is only available for iOS to date, and Android users would be the next parts of the joy to welcoming. You should also see thoroughly how Viber works before using it on your phones. It is built only for Viber-toViber calls, meaning that it was limited to others who have the iPhone or iPod Touch. But, positively when it is planned to be brought to Android phones, Viber promised to build such an app to be better from that experience.

Lots of rumors confirming the Viber would be ready to launch in March, but the Viber founder Talmon Marco said the app is actually “almost development complete.” It means a lot, thus it would just be okay to expect more about Viber’s Android app next week.

The founder said further that the text messaging support is planned to be hitting the iPhone application some time next month. There are two primary features to lead the Viber grab the big star attention; text-based chat and cross-platform compatibility.

    Hi,
This is a representative of Viber Media.

Yes, development of Viber-for-Android is almost complete, but unfortunately it does not still mean it can be released next week, as you suggested in the article.
The application needs to be tested and evaluated before released. Thus, we believe that it will indeed be released only in March.

We will, however, begin a beta-testing phase some time this February. It is possible to sign up to be a beta-tester here: http://eepurl.com/bW1Ln

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

    Thank you,
    Viber.
