You can set the application settings you can set it on or off depending on your needs. Sensitivity can be adjusted from high to low and in between. High sensitivity means, it will respond to a little shake, on the other hand low sensitivity means you have to shake your phone quite hard. You can also test the accelerometer by placing the phone in your pocket and shake it. Different notification sounds can be heard while shaking. Press the menu button to adjust the settings.
