A Video Explains the HTC Incredible S Auto-Rotating Buttons
Some have had their hands-on experience of the HTC Incredible S at MWC, held last week. But, there’s still a big question to be asked related to the upcoming device. It has auto-rotating icons for the capacitive buttons, and a lot of visitors are intrigued.
Afterwards, a few days after the first experience, a video appeared. This is considered as the effort of explaining the icons. Engadget did it very well by going back to the HTC booth, and then observing there’s some optical trickery conducted.

The icons come up to be glittering and shimmering, and it is determined by the viewing angles as if lit through a prism. A pair of LEDs takes the role of projecting the intended icon onto the glass surface via either a combination of prisms or half mirrors. The question answered!
