How to Use Your HTC HD7 as USB Disk Drive

This post teaches you how to tweak your registry to get the computer recognized the phone, so that it would be easier to use the phone as USB drive. Just follow below instructions.

First, open Windows Registry Editor by typing regedit in start menu on your computer.

Second, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB

Third, perform ZuneDriver.

Fourth, select the device Parameters key.

Fifth, change ShowInShell from 0 to 1.

Sixth, change PortableDeviceNameSpaceExcludeFromShell from 1 to 0.

Seventh, change EnableLegacySupport from 0 to 1.

Eighth, change EnableDefaultAutoPlaySupport.
