How To Enter Android System Recovery on Samsung Captivate SGH-i897

In Samsung Captivate SGH-i897, Android System Recovery is used for Google updates. People who love use their phone as is will never need to perform a system recovery. But if in any cases you should enter your Android System Recovery, we’ll tell you how.

These are step by step guide to enter Android System Recovery mode:

1. Turn off your phone

2. Press the Poer key and volume key (Up/Down) together until the phone switches on

3. When AT&T logo appears, release the Power key but keep pressing the Volume key (Up/Down).

4. Keep pressing the Volume keys for at least 10

seconds, until Recovery mode is launched and the Android

System Recovery screen is displayed.

5. Release the Volume Key

6. In Android System Recovery screen, you will see these options:

a. reboot system now: to turn on your phone.

b. reinstall packages: allows you to apply updates to your

phone.

c. delete all user data: deletes all data from the phone.

d. delete cache data: allows you to delete all cache data such as log files.

7. Use the Volume Up/Down keys to scroll up or down and the Power key to select the option

    i have tried to bring up the android recovery on my captivate and i cant get it to come up what should i do

    the described hard-reset procedure didn’t work among other hard-reset procedures floating out there on the web. Either Samsung or AT&T had rigged the Captivate in its favor.
