Installing Android 3.0 Honeycomb to Your Galaxy Tab

This is a good news for all Galaxy Tab owners. You can follow the tips below to upgrade your Android 2.2 Froyo to Android 3.0 Honeycomb. There are three requirements to fulfill first; connect your Galaxy Tab to computer with a USB cable, get the latest Heimdall for your PC operating system, and install the Honeycomb ROM for the Galaxy Tab.

Next, you should just follow the step-by-step instructions below.

First, download and install Heimdall Suite on your PC.

Second, reboot your phone.

Third, Mac owners can install the QT files if you have some troubles with the Heimdall.

Fourth, extract the downloaded ROM.

Fifth, run the Heimdall.

Sixth, press the browse button to add the components present inside the extracted ROM.

Seventh, turn your Galaxy Tab.

Eighth, press and hold the Home and Volume-Down buttons, and then press power button. Get into download mode.

Ninth, connect your Tab to your PC. Press Start button on Heimdall and wait for the rebooting process. Your Tab will wait for the firmware and you just need to be patient.
