Microsoft has met with the WP7 Jailbreak team, Rafael Rivera, Chris Walsh, and Long Zheng. You may have predicted the results to appear. And, it is all positive. According to some posts on their blogs, it is revealed that the jailbreakers are excited about what lays in store for the platform. They signed the deal outside of the NDA matters.

And now they all are working with Microsoft towards long-term solutions supporting mutual goals of broadening to the platform. At the same time, they should protect intellectual property and ensure the platform security.

It’s great to know that the jailbreakers all get non-production ASUS E600 development devices. This is their big chance to show who really they are!

Of course, lots of improvement would be done started from this point. ChevronWP7 is now allowed to unlocker too work, while they all are now working with Microsoft to create good solutions to support homebrew developments after update. On the other hand, Microsoft seems to be so serious to give their best support both the interests of IP holders and the homebrew community.
